At Summit Academy Sports, Impact Sports Performance is a core part of how we develop strong, confident, and resilient student-athletes. Our performance program is designed to support athletes of all sports by building the physical and mental foundation needed for long-term success—both in competition and in daily life.

What We Do

Impact Sports Performance focuses on age-appropriate, intentional athletic development for middle school and high school athletes. Our program emphasizes a priority of:

  • Speed, agility, change of direction, ploy metrics, and power development
  • Strength and movement fundamentals
  • Speed, agility, and coordination
  • Injury prevention and recovery
  • Confidence, consistency, and work ethic

Training is structured to complement each athlete’s sport while supporting the academic demands of a student-athlete schedule.



How We Do It

Impact Sports Performance sessions are led by a dedicated Summit Academy Sports performance coach, athletes train under a familiar face who gets to know their strengths, needs, and goals.

To ensure proper development, performance training is structured by age group, with separate middle school and high school sessions. This allows athletes to train at an appropriate pace while still fostering a positive team environment.

Training sessions include:

  • Dynamic warm-ups and mobility work
  • Strength training and movement mechanics
  • Speed and agility development
  • Recovery, flexibility, and injury-prevention strategies


Individualized Athlete Development

Our goal is not short-term results, but long-term athletic growth. Athletes are coached with intention and care, learning how to move well, train smart, and take ownership of their development. Performance training is designed to support—not replace—sport-specific training, helping athletes become stronger, more durable, and more confident in their sport.

Zach Goberis

Head of Sports Performance

Zach Goberis serves as the Summit Academy Sports-specific Sports Performance Coach, working daily with our student-athletes.

Zach brings a strong background in competitive and professional athletics and performance training, along with a passion for mentoring young athletes. His approach emphasizes proper movement, injury prevention, strength development, and mental toughness, while reinforcing habits that translate to success both in athletics and academics.

As a consistent presence on campus, Zach builds meaningful relationships with athletes, understands their individual needs, and helps guide them toward sustainable improvement. His goal is to develop well-rounded athletes who are prepared for the next level—physically, mentally, and personally.
